Good evening, My name is Jeimy Nataly Galán López and I think that my weaknesses are fluency and something about pronunciation, becasue when I'm taking I forget to be careful with my pronunciation. Usually I practice my writing and I neglect my listening and my pronunciation. Sometimes I'm shy, timid in class but I try to participate to practice. So, I don't have the best fluency but I work hard to improve this.
ReplyDeletemy strengths, actually I say that I'm better with my writing because I practice it, I like to read some things in english and then I summarize these. I can talking with the assistants , I like to do this, I like to learn with differents methods, I can do personal work to each subject and topic. I think I'm responsible and serious with my learning. I WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH and it's de most important for me, I have the desire.
My expectation in this semester, in this level is extensive, demanding with hard work for me, I want to improve my english level because I want to travel to United States and I'd like to go with a better english. So, I hope to continue learning all the time.
First of all, my strengths as foreign language learner are: I have been exposed to English much time of my life, for example when I was a child my eldest brother listened to music such as: rock, heavy metal, reggae, etc. all that music was in English, therefore I was learning English unconsciously, but I have to say thanks to the videogames too. Now my weaknesses, a big weakness that I have is that I work when I am in class, but if I don’t have homework I don’t do any activity to improve my English level. I think the best way to teach English is the innovation; English teachers have to be doing different activities in the classes, to attract attention from the students, because when a class is boring to the students then they don’t learn all the knowledge the teacher wants. Another way to teach English is using the technology, when teachers know how to use technological devices they can create many ways to do the classes, on the other hand, if a teacher only use the board and the markers the classes become monotonous.

I consider that I have different strengths related with the grammar structure of sentences and reading. But on the other hand, I have Weaknesses that don’t allow me to advance in my process as foreign language student.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, I think the most important thing is improving my skills, to reduce my weaknesses through strategies such as to practice reading to acquire vocabulary and to continue improving my knowledge about the English grammar. Also to listen to audio guides and if is possible to try to write it that I listened. Finally I think that in this way to strengthen my weaknesses and to improve my strengths.

ReplyDeleteDuring my learning process, I have identified different weaknesses for example:
I am so pessimistic, I have fear to participate in class (because I am a little shy), I do not know many vocabulary, so I need to improve to get a good English level, I am lazy too, so I do not like to read English books, I prefer read Spanish books (that is bad, I know)
on the other hand I have some strengths, I like the foreign languages, I like my career and every day I want to learn more things, I like to speak in English but I am shy so that is bad, I like listen English music and sometimes I watch TV programs to learn more expressions and words, in this way I can practice my listening comprehension. I am creative and responsibility student, I try to be punctual and respectful with my teachers, partners and with myself. That is all.
In this semester I want to learn so much about grammar and vocabulary to better my English level, I hope to lose my fears to participate and improve my pronunciation and speaking fluency.

ReplyDeleteWell, I think my language weaknesses principally is when i'm giving my ideas, that is, my fluency because i wait much time thinking what i have to say without it look bad and also I don't have high level in listening, so I think I can do many exercises using websites to improve my English process, I can make conversations with my classmates and also by social networks.
On the other hand, my strengths I think I have good level in written production, because I can create good texts but I also need to improve it more and more for that reason I will write short stories… Finally I hope learn a lot of new vocabulary and practice speaking and listening.

ReplyDeleteI think that my strengths are read and develop grammar exercises, for me is very interesting to learn new words, when I watch movies, because I can learn words like colloquialisms and maybe the writing because although is not excellent, I like writing shorts texts. On the other hand about my weakness I think that in all aspects I have some problems, maybe I forget the pronunciation or spelling when I talk with otter people, because I’m shy, but the most importance thing is improve in my English using the language such as practice with the English assistant. Practice reading and develop some exercises to help me improve my English.

ReplyDeleteI think that like my other partners I have a lot of weaknesses. But I think that the principal ones are first my self-confidence and second my pronunciation and fluency; because sometimes I prefer just be in class but I did not participate in it, I don't take the risk, so I think that I need to improve my self-confidence. In the other hand I know that the only way that I can improve is training and looking for times where I could practice.
Second I think pronunciation is a very important aspect, because it is the way that we are going to comunicate with other foreign people, they need to understand us. For that reason is one of my biggest weakness.
My strengths are that I love english, and I understand that english is for me just a tool for my future so it is the way that I could fulfill my dreams. Moreover I think that my strategies are use the foreign language not only in the classes but also in my daily life, like listening to music, watching movies and others.
I hope that in this class I could improve my weaknesses and I could be brave for starting to participate in class and be a better student.

ReplyDeleteI know I have some languages weaknesses. My knowledge about vocabulary is not enough; therefore it is difficult for me to have a fluent conversation. Besides, I have a big weakness, it is afraid to speak. I am afraid to make mistakes in front of somebody; but I know I am learning and make mistakes is part of learning process. Also, I am weak in listening comprehension.
For that, I hope to overcome the afraid to speak, because this aspect
is the most important in learning a foreign language. Likewise I hope
to increase my English vocabulary to improve my English level.
On the other hand, I think I am good about grammatical structures.
Also, I am starting to love reading in English; and that is a good sign!

ReplyDeleteAccording to my expectations, i would like to develop the capability to communicate correctly my ideas in English with other people especially native people because i think that to share my customs, beliefs and others is important to achieve my goals. I want to be a good teacher for this reason i need to improve my English more and more, so i am going to take advantage of this course.
i think that my biggest weakness is that the most of the times y can't express what i want to say perhaps because i am a little nervous but with the passage of the time I have overcome this difficulty in oral expression. I have some grammar problems too i hope to improve it.
but i think that i know vocabulary and i like so much to learn English it is my favorite language and nowadays i like to take the risk and participate in classes, speaking although sometimes i am wrong but the idea is improve my problems.
When someone knows to speak English, a lot of opportunities are present in the way but my main objective is not to earn money (buy obviously y hope it), but my idea is go beyond. As a teacher I have the opportunity to change the life of someone else if I want to achieve it y have to be constant in the process of learning English, and I will do my best.

DeleteI think that my weakness more important is about the speaking, because when I am going to speak , I forget all my vocabulary, all the words, and I stay in pause. I know that for improving my speaking I have to practice a lot.
My strength is about the listening, I know this because I am able to understand a song and the conversations.
My expectation in this class is to have a good level in English in all the aspects, because I feel that I have a low level , I want to learn much.
My strategy to improve my English is through technology, making use of different resources, for example I like listening to music, I watch TV series and movies and I read some articles in English.

ReplyDeleteI am going to tell about my weakness, So I think that I have some trouble with listening and speaking aspects, because sometime I do not understand some ideas when someone speak to me or also when I do listening exercises or watch movies I do not understand specific ideas. Also I have problems when I speak because I do not have a good fluency and I think that the people do not understand me, so I have to work hard in my weakness. For other hand, my strengths learning foreign languages are in grammar aspects because I learn quickly the rules.
I think that to teach a foreign language, I have to be a creative teacher because I am going to work with children and they have to develop differents activities in order to they do not tire in the classes, also I have to motivate the investigations to my students, and so I motivate them to they want to learn more and more.

ReplyDeleteWe as foreign language learners have a lot of weaknesses but according as time we realize the importance of correctly handle language even in this way we can share our ideas with others and we are preparing to be teacher and this is a huge responsibility. For me is too difficult express my ideas as form that I think, I mean I do not have fluency at time to speak because I am able to talk but my fear does not let me, because I think that everything I say is wrong I would like to speak with more confidence . According to my strengths I always like the English and in my free times I try to practice more such as listening to music and see movies and other things for that reason my greatest strength is the ability listening.
In other hand I think to improve our weaknesses we have to be more constant and discipline people and we have a lot of resources and the best strategy is listening conversation listening to music and practice speaking for example at home by your own but we have to move on and later we have to talk with another person. In this semester I hope to improve a lot of problems and I would like that class be more participation and we can present our ideas and listening that the others.

Hi everyone, well, I have thought about my weaknesses. I think I have to practice a little in my vocabulary skills, so I believe in the practice and I think this thing the professor is doing with the vocabulary is very good, but obviously it depends on the practice and the desire to learn. And in order to get better we have to make a serious commitment and pay attention in class.
ReplyDeleteNow, talking about my strenghts I think it is important to practice grammar in order to learn all the structures of the sentences in all the tenses: simple present, present continuous, simple past, past continuous, present perfect, present perfect continuous, past prefect, past prefect continuous, future, passive voice. that way we can use it correctly.
About strategies I think it is important the masive exposure to the language, the most we are in the context, the most we learn. it is: write, read, listen, speak and think in english. Like I said before it is important the practice if we want to improve our english level.
