Talking about what you eat!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our second activity. Please, post your comments before September 27th!


1. Answer the following questions with your own ideas (describing the dishes you eat) and considering the vocabulary we have worked related to food:


1. What do you eat for breakfast? 
2. What do you eat for snacks?
3. What do you eat for lunch?

5. Do you consider your diet healthy and good for you?

Write a short and creative composition to describe your daily diet, using PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE in its affirmative and negative form.

  1. Hi everyone!!!

    The Breakfast is the most important food of day. For this reason, I eat a complete breakfast with the proteins, the carbohydrates, the calcium and the vitamins. All of this in an egg, in a piece of bread and cheese, and in a good cup of chocolate and orange juice. I consider is important to begin the day with a lot of energy and it is the best way to do it.



    Usually, I feel hungry at 10:00 o’clock and I drink a yogurt with cereal and fruit, it is a good way to satisfy the hungry.



    The lunch is quite important for me, and it must be complete. At most meals, I drink a soup with veggies. The lunch always includes protein (beef, chicken, fish, pumpkin, kidney beans, spinaches…), carbohydrates (pasta, rice, yucca, yam or potatoes). And finally I drink a delicious fruit juice.



    At the end of the day, I eat some of fruit, with a little serving of soup and a chocolate with bread.



    Finally, I consider my diet is healthy, because I always include the veggies in the foods; I try to avoid the fat and too sweet food, it to avoid diseases; and rarely I go out to eat fast food. The only problem is that I can`t stand some of sea food, I should include more of this in my diet, because I know that fish is important to maintain strong my bones with the calcium. I am trying to include more fish, fruits and water in my diet.

  2. Hi!
    I going to talk about my daily diet, for my breakfast; usually I eat some fruit, chocolate or coffee, arepas or bread, sometime I like to eat eggs in my breakfast, I love to drink chocolate with cheese, I like to eat a lot of fruit like mango, papaya, apples strawberries and rarely I eat cereal with yogurt.
    Rarely I take snacks; sometimes I eat some cookies with tea. For my lunch usually I eat rice, salad, some grains like beans or lentil, I like to eat meat like beef or pork but never fish; I never eat seafood and I don't like the soup, I never take soup and I like mango juice.
    For dinner, I rarely eat something in my dinner, but usually I eat cookies with tea or maybe I take a coffee with cake.
    finally I think that the diet should be all things that we love to eat, not just think about every food we eat to prevent weight gain, for me eat is a delicious way to enjoy my life. I love to eat sweets and chocolates, I don’t know if my daily diet is healthy or not, but for me is good.

  3. Hi everybody!
    In the mornings I usually eat chocolate, eggs and bread or fruit like papaya, apple or banana and orange juice.
    I seldom eat snacks, I just eat my breakfast, my lunch and my dinner but sometimes I eat snacks like French fries, hot dogs, chocolates, ice cream, arepas, cookies with coffee, sun tee or juice. I have to confess that I am crazy about pizza, I love it!
    I normally have lunch rice with chicken and vegetables or soup with French fries or rice, lentils, eggs and salad I drink sun tee or juice too. I rarely eat seafood because I don’t like it!
    I often have dinner a coffee because I am a big coffee drinker, or I drink chocolate.
    I consider, my diet healthy is not good because I need to eat more protein like fish or poultry and more legumes too, this type of meals are so important to the human body because these meals have many antioxidants and proteins, I consider I have to eat more fruits to acquire different vitamins.in other hand I never eat milk or cheese so I need eat more of these meals to have more calcium in my bones. So I have to improve my diet healthy to be healthy.

    The breakfast is very important for me. Usually I eat bread, cheese and some of fruit like papaya or banana, and always I drink chocolate, I think that it is a breakfast healthy because it is balanced.
    In snacks I always drink natural juice, and sometimes I eat fruits and cookies, it is good because these foods soothe hunger and are healthy.
    In my lunch I sometimes eat rice, lentils, potatoes and salad, or I eat a bowl of soup, or just an ice cream, I sometimes drink soda, juice or sugar water.
    And in my dinner I eat something soft like a glass oat and cookies.
    Finally I think that my diet should be more healthy for example in lunch, because I should not eat ice cream for lunch. And on the other hand I think that my diet is very good for me that I eat a lot of fruits.

  5. Hi guys!
    Today, I am going to talk about my diet. To start, I usually eat for breakfast scrambled eggs with sausage, chocolate and bred, I occasionally drink orange juice. However, I sometimes have no time for cooking so I buy a yogur.
    I´m crazy about fruits. For snacks I eat fruit salad with condensed milk or grated cheese. Also, I frequently eat gelatin and cookies or cereal.
    Lunch is the most important meal of day. For that reason, it must be completed. I always eat rice and potatoes, also I eat green salat with avocado because I´m an avocado addict. In addition, I frequently eat beans like string bean, kidney bean or peas.
    At afternoon snack I eat fruit juice for satisfy my appetite. And finally, for dinner I drink coffee and I eat cookies or bread.
    I have to admit that I can`t stand nor sea food neither some vegetables like onion, beet, mushroom and pepper.
    In general, I can say that my dairy diet is halthy because I try to mix all food groups. I know vitamins and minerals keep me healthy. For that I eat fruits such as oranges and guavas; also, I always eat meat and bread groups and dairy products. Besides, I consume grains. It includes cereal, rice and pasta. Also, I consume meat and protein every day, since I eat poultry, dry beans, meat and eggs.

  6. Hello!
    I think that breakfast is the most important food of the day, so I try to eat my breakfast always and eat in a balanced way so I usually eat for breakfast eggs because I am a eggs eater, I drink chocolate, yogurt or milk with bread and some cheesse, I rarely eat fruit for breakfast.
    In snacks I usually eat an empanada with juice or a yogurt, in my lunch I always eat rice, I often eat potatoes in all i'ts cooked, I like chicken so I usually eat chicken but sometimes I eat meat. I eat salade like lettuce with tomatoes.
    For my dinner I eat eggs again or sometimes a sandwich with milk or chocolate.But some times I have a craving for fast food so I eat pizza or hamburguer for diner.
    I love eat, I think that it is one of the biggest pleasure in the life, so I eat very well, in the other hand I think that I have to improve my diet, because I rarely eat grain or fruits in my daly life, I never drink water and I eat a lot of fast food, and that is bad for my health. So I am going to try to change that kind of things in my diet.

    I'm going to tell about my breakfast, so for my breakfast, i usually eat eggs milk or ceral with yogurth, but when i'm in Tunja. But when i travel to my town, I usually eat Chocolate, bread, eggs or bouillon. however I rarely eat fruits, cheese, coffee with milk, in my breakfast
    For my snack i frequently eat cookies, juice, empanada or candlies; and for my lunch, I usually eat chicken, because i am a chicken lover, also i eat rice, chips or patacon, but i rarely eat vegetables and they are imporant to a balanced lunch.
    For my dinner I often drink coffe with milk, i eat bread, somtimes i eat eggs with rice.I always eat little in my dinner, however, sometimes i eat fast food for my dinner.
    Finally i think that I should eat a lot de vegetables and fruits, after i should eat meat and fish because it's very imporant the protein also it's very imporant the dairy products beacause these products contain calcium. for my it's imporant a balanced diet with the nutrients before named.

  8. Well, most of the days I don't have breakfast. but when I do, I use to eat some scramble eggs, chocolate, and no more. I always have to eat something before lunch. It is something like a cookies or a cup of coffee. I really like coffee and I add it a little piece of chocolate. It is just yummy yummy!!!!!

    I eat rice, meat, beans and juice for lunch. I have a kitchen in my house but I don't like to cook. so I usually buy the lunch in a restaurant. after my classes I often have a cup of coffee or a bear. When I have dinner I buy something in a restaurant near the university.

    I think, since I am in Tunja, I don't eat like I used to do it in Sogamoso, obviously we don't eat the same way because our mommy is not there taking care of us. But I usually try to eat in a healthy way. I hope this exercise to help with my grade!!!!

    I know the most important meal is the breakfast but sometimes, I don´t have breakfast because I usually must to go to the university too early, but when I have my breakfast I normally breakfast eggs I really like eggs in all versions, they are really delicious; I occasionally drink hot chocolate or aguadepanela .i often breakfast yogurt with cereal. But I often eat a fruit for example an apple.
    As Sometimes I don’t have breakfast I eat at snack after 10 am: I usually eat an empanada whit coffee or juice, or cookies or a fruit. I occasionally eat a little cake.
    At noon I always am hungry, really hungry, so my lunch frequently is rice, French fries with beef or chicken, I prefer chicken it’s my favorite food. I rarely eat a salad but I like tomatoes with salt or lemon or y like cucumber too. Sometimes when I don’t have time to prepare lunch I frequently lunch fast food.
    And finally my dinner is very simple, I seldom eat rice or potatoes at night , I prefer a sandwich with juice or a hot beverage with cookies or tuna salad or scramble eggs .sometimes I don’t have dinner because I’m not hungry .
    I think my diet is not very healthy, because I don’t like to cook and I eat fast food and it is bad for my health, and sometimes I don’t have breakfast and it is the most important meal of the day ,so now I try to be careful with my feeding because I want to avoid a disease so I eat more fruits and vegetables.

    I think that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I usually like to eat breakfast, somethings like orange juice, eggs and bread. there are some days that I eat fruits, coffee or chocolate.
    I love snacks, I usually drink coffee with an empanada or cookies, I'm used to eat something a certain hour of the day.
    I usually like lunch,because I love eat rice, potatoes, meat or soup, I always drink juice at lunch, I think that liquid is very important por me.
    But, there are some days when I don't have much time for lunch, so I eat a sandwich and a juice.
    I sometimes don't eat anything at night, but some nights I eat fast food or I cook something at home.
    I don't consider my diet is good, because I eat a lot of unhealthy food and I don't have defined a schedule for important meals of the day.

    For breakfast, I usually eat coffee or chocolate, bread, eggs or cereal with banana.
    For snacks I sometimes eat cookies, milk, empanadas, arepas, and maybe ice cream, coffee, tea or any juice.
    At midday, when it's time to lunch I usually eat rice, potatotes, meat, chiken, pork, green salad, french fries, tuna, eggs... But somedays I eat fast food because of the university, some of my classes don't let me eat right food. I don't like soup, may bethat's the reason I rarely eat that, and of course I drink fresh juice or tea.
    Finally, for dinner I eat bread, coffe, chocolate, something very light; and when I am put of my house I eat pizza, hot dogs or burger.
    I
    I think that my diet is healthy sometimes, because I try to eat well the most of the times, but when I can't, I have to eat fast food and everybody knows that fast food isn't good for the body. I love the salads, green or fruit's, and that is very good for people.

    As my other mates said before I think that the most important meal in the day is breakfast, so I try everyday eat a breakfast balance or good one. I usually eat scramble eggs with sausage, bread, a cup of chocolate, a fruit like pear or apple. I rarely eat cheese, sandwich and orange juice but I love them.For snacks I eat always a lot of candies and fast food like empanadas because in my free times after to have class I am a great hunger and I love eat, I rarely eat cereal with milk, yogurt. I am crazy about chocolate so I eat a lot of this.For lunch I eat often rice I love it and without it I think that my lunch is incomplete and eat potatoes too, meat or chicken and maybe a salad and finally maracuya juice. I never eat vegetables and the most of the meals that I eat are fried.And finally for my dinner I eat something lighter like chocolate with bread or maybe cereal with milk so I usually eat rice with scramble eggs because I love the rice.
    I do not follow any diet but I try to eat healthy food however I think that I eat a lot of candies and fast food and it is not healthy for me I have to add to my diet more vegetables and fruits and try to eat meat that are not fried, so in this way I can improve my healthy and I have to say that I do not eat at the same way at home I mean with my family.

    I’m going to tell you about what I usually eat.
    Sometimes for the breakfast when I have a lot of time to prepare it, that is, the weekend I make a potato broth with egg, chocolate or “aguapanela”, arepa and sometimes cheese but in the weekdays I eat scrambled eggs, chocolate and bread or some days I don’t prepare any..
    I rarely take snacks, but when I take it, I eat empanada with coffee, cookies or peanut. For the lunch, I rarely go to the restaurant, so I prepare the meal in home, it is often: rice, grains( it's usually beans or lentils), beef or tuna, green salad (Not always) and fruit juice, it’s usually blackberry juice.
    Frequently in the dinner I eat bread and “colada or changua” or just scrambled eggs.
    Finally I think my diet is not the most healthy because I need more vegetables, fruits, proteins and calcium, but I eat that I love eat and this is very important for me, also I think I need drink more of water each day.

    My diet

    For breakfast I usually eat scrambled eggs, bread and a cup of chocolate and once in a while an orange, but I never eat for breakfast meat. For snacks I usually eat a yogurt and some cookies, I try to eat just what I need because I know for lunch I eat a lot. For lunch I always eat rice, potatoes, juice (according to the restaurant menu), some kind of meat (beef, pork, fish, etc.), and some flour like spaghetti. And for dinner I often eat bread, one egg and a cup of coffee, but sometimes I eat junk food (pizza, hamburger, hot dog, lasagna, etc.), that happens when I have money because I usually do not have money. I consider my diet is a normal diet because I do not eat a lot, but I know I sometimes eat a lot of bread, and that is bad for my healthy

  15. Hi ! I'm Jeimy Galán I usually eat breakfast with a glass of soy milk and an apple. Weekends I eat yogurt with cereal for breakfast. Actually I don't have snacks but maybe I eat a sweet and I drink water. I lunch at the university restaurant, I eat beans and soup. My dinner is bread with tea, or sometimes I eat dinner at the university restaurant. I often eat cheese i like it. I never eat meat since 2 years ago.
    I actually consider that my diet is healthy, I know that the meat isn't necessary for the humans body, and I eat the necessary proteins and alkalizing foods. I rarely eat eggs but I eat these. A good vegetarian diet must include soy milk, all kinds of beans, fruits and vegetables as well much water .
